LITERARY AGENT

JOB SUMMARY

The Right Penmanship, Inc. is looking to expand and is seeking a detailed orientated Literary Agent. The Literary Agent has an essential role in assisting writers bring their book to life. This role collaborates with writers by helping authors develop their story, correct grammar errors, and assist in writing material if needed.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create and draft contract between author and company, process payments, and provide receipt.
  • Review book drafts provided by client and perform corrections and provide guidance on publishing process.
  • Act as a liaison between company staff and authors to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Research book and merchandise sales and report findings to company staff.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks such as: scheduling meetings, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving customer discrepancies.
  • Craft captivating book summaries to help market published work.
  • Submit and upload book submissions to online retailers and source potential retail locations for book placement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and proactively solve problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Salary commensurate with experience.
EDUCATION

Currently be enrolled in a college or university with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.

PROJECT TASK MANAGER

The Right Penmanship, Inc. is looking to expand and is seeking a detailed oriented Project Task Manager. The Project Task Manager has an essential role in working on various of our tasks projects. Training is provided per project.
